On Tuesday 7th November Inminds human right group will protest the grotesque centenary anniversary celebration of the Balfour declaration being hosted at the Albert Hall to an audience of 5000 Zionists.
The Balfour Declaration was a letter dated 2nd November 1917, sent by the British foreign secretary Lord Arthur Balfour on behalf of the British government to Lord Rothschild, the chairman of the Zionist Federation, promising support from the British Empire to establish a Zionist entity in Palestine against the wishes of the indigenous people of Palestine.
The event is hosted by messianic fundamentalist Christian Zionists who believe that the gathering of the Jews in Israel, and later their conversion to Christianity, is a prerequisite for the Second Coming of Jesus. Christian Zionism whose ultimate aim, in order to fulfil prophecy, is to eradicate Judaism, has always worked hand in hand with Jewish Zionism, an essentially secular movement.
Zionism from its inception was a racist endeavour and as such is championed by racists on all sides. Lord Balfour referring to South Africa said "Men are not born equal" that Black people are "less intellectually and morally capable" than white people and that the white imperialist rule in South Africa was "extending the blessing of civilization" to Africa.
When Britain officially took control of Palestine, the Zionist Federation under the chairmanship of Lord Rothschild celebrated the event at the Albert Hall on July 12, 1920, with guest of honour Lord Balfour. At the celebration Lord Balfour declared "For long I have been a convinced Zionist". In Zionism he saw a way to rid the UK and Europe of its Jewish population by shipping them to Palestine. Earlier in 1905 he had passed legislation aimed at preventing Jews fleeing persecution in Russia from entering Britain, calling them "undesirable".
Inminds chair Abbas Ali said "For Britain its a day of shame, a hundred years of shame. Balfour's letter to the head of the Rothschild banking dynasty promising to give stolen land to the Zionist federation for their settler colony was a crime which wiped Palestine from the map and unleashed a 100 years of suffering on the Palestinian people. Its grotesque that anyone would want to celebrate this human suffering. There are crackpots that celebrate the Third Reich and Hitler's birthday.. But they are on the fringe of society and carry out their nefarious celebrations in the shadows.. here we have state sanctioned celebration of the genocidal ethnic cleansing of an entire nation. Shamefully the Albert Hall has refused to cancel, calling it a "cultural event". We are here to say you cannot whitewash a hundred years of ethnic cleansing, apartheid and genocide. Would the Albert Hall allow a cultural celebration of Nazism on the anniversary of Hitlers Birthday? Of course not, nor should they allow this despicable event to go ahead."
It is said that for evil to triumph all that is necessary is for good people to do nothing, please join us outside the Albert Hall on 7th November 2017 at 6pm to show your opposition to this celebration of ethnic cleaning and dispossession of the Palestinian people.
Please note that many groups including our comrades from Victory to the Intifada will all come together united in solidarity for this important action.
If you support this activity please share this alert widely, thank you.
JazakAllah,
Abbas Ali

Featured MP3 Podcast "1763 in the Ohio river valley you got Lord Jeffrey Amherst committing to written order an instruction to his subordinate Henry Bouquet, having been defeated by Pontiac Ottawa confederacy in the field. The order essentially says that they have been defeated militarily and is therefore necessary for Amherst forces to request a peace, to sue for peace from Pontiacs people. He instructs Bouquet to convene a parlay with the Indian leadership for that purpose. And as is the custom, as is common courtesy among native populations as was known to the Brits at that time, it would be necessary for those who requested the council to give gifts to those requested to attend. Make those gifts, Amherst says, items taken from a smallpox infirmary in order, I'm going to quote directly now, this isn't a paraphrase: 'in order that we may extirpate this execrable race'. Now key is on this last word, had he said that we might eradicate the opposing combatants, their military capacity, their warriors.. what ever term he wanted to use, it would have been biological warefare. But he didn't say anything about that, he said the 'race'. His intent was to use biological means, to use disease, quite explicitly so, to eradicate an entire population group. And Bouquet was also kind enough to commit to writing in his response the next day, I have done as instructed, dispersing three blankets, two handkerchiefs and sundry other items, hopefully, he says, they will have the desired result. They did.. the lowest estimate of the number of people who died of smallpox as a result of that little gesture of friendship and goodwill is a 100,000!"
